Welcome to JKA Karate in Munich

We have been teaching and training traditional Shotokan Karate for ten years. Our Karate Dojo is a certified member of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) as well as the German Federation of Traditional Shotokan Karate (Deutscher JKA-Karate Bund e.V., DJKB).

Karate training at JKA Munich relies on the principles and instructions of the great masters of JKA, Japan, and of those of Sensei Ochi, Germany. We also follow the five principles postulated by Gichin Funakoshi:

• seek perfection of character
• be faithful
• endeavour
• respect others
• refrain from violent behaviour

Our Dojo is located in Munich but we regularly participate in training sessions (Gasshuku) in Germany and abroad. We are convinced that visiting national and international Karate courses enriches and motivates our daily training at home.

We find it important to learn from each other. Therefore, throughout the year we organise events so that our members and their families get to know each other better.
